IS HE IGNORING YOUR TEXTS WHILE LOOKING AT MEMES?.. My love/hate relationship with the Instagram Activity Log

So, I was texting this guy the other day (I know, right?). All was going well.. until he stopped responding. At first I didn’t think anything of it. Maybe he got a phone call or dropped his phone in the toilet, right? I’m sure there’s a reason he’s not responding to me! But low and behold, instead of texting me back, the jerk was scrolling through Instagram. How did I know? That lovely, new feature called the Activity Log. Am I the only one having a love/hate relationship with this thing?

If you haven’t noticed this feature yet, you’re about to be shook. It lets you know when your most recent DM’d friends have last been active. So, how did I handle this? First, I considered sending a DM like “Hiiiiii, remember me? I CAN SEE YOU ON HERE”! But, then I remembered my advice in my most recent YouTube video and realized this wouldn’t be very “cool”. Then, I thought “Maybe I’ll just ignore him for a few hours the next time he texts me. That’ll show him”! An hour went by and my blood began to boil. HOW DARE HE SIT THERE LIKING DOG MEMES BUT NOT TEXT ME BACK?! Eventually, he texted me. Of course it was something sweet and witty, so I didn’t ignore him or flip out. It seemed kinda silly at that point.

I’m really trying to ignore this new feature and not take it personally. I’ve considered disabling it so it doesn’t drive me crazy. But, I’ve realized that sometimes people just wanna sit there laughing at memes and not talk to anyone! Anyone else out there get a tad salty over this stuff? Let me know below.
